I am extremely proud and honored to share volume 1 of my memoir series with you. My close friends, family, and of course my publisher know how much work was put into getting this book ready for release and publication. It is the story of my Puerto Rican childhood, my lesbian awakening, the power I derived from that, and my great love for my “Superhero” father and family.
Salsa Hips is volume 2 of my memoir series. It has been described as funny, dirty, honest, raw, sometimes heartbreaking and often shocking. This book is overflowing with emotion, however, it is all well sandwiched between fascinating stories set on the streets of New York. I think you will enjoy my edgy writing style, in this particular writing. I've combined just the right doses of erotica, and comedy, for your reading pleasure.
I stirred my creative juices into the writing of this balladry and obeyed my muse. This tiny collection speaks volumes of my colorful experiences. I wrote these poems with complete abandon, fearless and left nothing unexplored. No words were wasted in the making of this book
It is a diverse collection that I know stands on equal ground with all else in my portfolio.

A Special Project
Cuarenta y Nueve
Cuarenta y Nueve means 49 in Spanish. This beautiful coffee table book is an artistic homage to the 49 lives lost on June 12, 2016, at the Pulse Nightclub massacre, in Orlando Florida. Writers of every genre, photographers, artists, and even an Executive Chef have come together to create this must have tribute. By 49 and for 49, Cuarenta y Nueve was the vision of (and curated by) best selling author Joie Lamar, who has also arranged for 100% of the proceeds to be donated to positive LGBTQ+ organizations.
